Our Story

The Executive Brain brings together three complementary perspectives: neuroscience, psychiatry, and operational excellence with technology.
Together, we combine scientific insight and real-world leadership experience to help organisations strengthen how leaders think, decide, and perform.

Silvia Marçal Gomes

I am a clinician, researcher, and leadership strategist with nearly two decades of experience working across healthcare systems in the UK, Spain, and Portugal. My work integrates operational realities with organisational development, behavioural science, and people strategy, including leading one of the largest operational studies of Talent Management in healthcare. I hold an MBA specialising in Organisational Development and focus on building high-performing teams in complex environments. Drawing on neuroscience and behavioural psychology, I help leaders and organisations strengthen clarity, decision-making, and sustainable performance.

Amélie Leroy

I am a CMI Level 7 qualified manager with over 10 years of experience leading operational teams and complex technology environments, delivering transformation and innovation at scale. Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of operations, technology, and leadership, helping organisations navigate change while maintaining strong performance in demanding environments. Alongside my operational leadership, I am training in coaching, combining practical operational expertise with leadership development to support leaders in navigating complexity, strengthening teams, and performing sustainably under pressure.

Joana Ramos

I am a psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical practice and also hold a degree in Health Administration. My training and professional experience across Portugal, Spain, and Canada have shaped a systems perspective on health and organisations. My work focuses on understanding human behaviour and individual dynamics within complex systems. Drawing on psychiatry, neuroscience, and psychology, I explore how individual thinking, emotions, and interactions influence collective performance. I am particularly interested in how healthier individual dynamics can strengthen teams, leadership, and organisational culture.
